Everyone on this planet wants to live a dream life. To achieve this goal, some are trying hard and some are just daydreaming. In my life experience, I have always achieved what I dreamed of. In this blog, I want to share some of the prerequisites that are needed to find your dream job. I have been applying this technique for many years and this could be applied in any field or work or relationship. However, in this blog post, we will see the technique that can be applied to find the right or dream job in your career. I’ll guide you top 3 skills that are considered as prerequisites to land into dream job or profile.
1. Clear thought process :
This is a very initial and even crucial at the same time to find your dream job. I know you might be thinking of how can be this step be more important. But if you find yourself in any one of the below-mentioned categories then certainly this is a keen step for you. The list of different categories of people: If you are not happy in your current job, if you are aiming for something for a long time and not being able to achieve it, if you aim for some goal but not able to make it happen, if you constantly struggle for many years and not being promoted, if you are not enjoying what you are doing.
After reading the category list and if you feel you are in any one of the lists, then hold yourself for a little more while to understand this step. Now as you identified yourself belonging to the right category, it is time to understand and clear your thought process. This simply means that you need to change your thinking process to achieve your dream job. We are not going to discuss why is it happening but we are here for solutions.
A clear thought process will help you to understand what you are aiming for yourself in the next 2–3 years in your professional life. Try to answer questions like what is professional growth for me? What is a dream job? What is your dream company? Who is a professional role model for you? What kind of job makes you happier that you can do without getting bored? Answering these questions will definitely make your thought process clear and you will be very confident to go ahead in your professional growth.
2. LinkedIn Profile :
Once, you are done with step 1, you are geared for the next one. Build an attractive Linkedin Profile. Linkedin is a very good professional platform to build networking in your own field. This will also help you to understand how people are progressing in your skilled areas. This can also be the opportunity to explore some new people, the new connection which you never tried or thought of. Fill in the details minutely to build your profile and add your relevant education, work experience. If you are relatively new to Linkedin study others' profiles and build them accordingly.
3. CV/Resume :
This is the last step, which is again important to consider i.e to build your CV. Friends, take out some time to build your CV professionally. There are many sources on the internet that provide templates and information about everything you are looking to build a strong CV. Remember, you are selected only based on your cv. You must always consider this is your first door to knock in the company’s database. It often takes time to develop your CV and to talk about your skills and work experience. Just have patience in building the same.
Lastly, never give up. Keep working towards your goal. Best of luck.
